Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) play a critical role in the lives of
people with developmental disabilities and their families.

The DSP Workforce Initiative, a project supported by the Illinois Council on
Developmental Disabilities, has developed a plan to make significant
changes in Illinois to improve the recruitment and retention of DSPs.
Through this initiative, an exciting resource has been developed for
individuals with disabilities and their families to assist in finding,
choosing, and keeping great DSPs.
