We are pleased to welcome back Mary Beth Scholten.

                             Topic: 22 AND Beyond

What can we expect from our DRS counselor for Adult services?

The process and roles.

The role of the Agency chosen and job coach.
                                 Development & Job Search
How to be person centered even in this environment.

How to handle concerns between parties.

There are still the questions regarding individuals (or guardians) who
question the degree of disability. Are they in a‘”Catch 22”if they are
too disabled to qualify or not disabled enough. Especially now that
Illinois has passed the "EMPLOYMENT 1ST" Legislation and is embarking
on Customized Employment.

Questions about the individual who have the Home Based Community Waiver or
CILA funding?

How the DHS will move forward in addressing the needs of persons dually
diagnosed: Developmental Disabilities and Mental Illness.

DuPage Family Disability Network is offering an opportunity to have
questions like these and others you may have answered at our April 16th,
2014 meeting when out guest speaker is a staff member from the
Department of Human Services – Division of Rehabilitation (DHS-DRS.)
